Talk about internalized sexism....

Speaking of which, the Tibetan lamas had along history before the revolution of keeping private little boys and girls harems for their intimate pleasures. These kids were rewarded with enlightenment.....
That's still going on in India, Nepal, and Bhutan. In Bhutan, keeping women (actually--girls of 12 or 14) in the monasteries was outlawed in the 1960's, after one former "Buddha mother"/"temple goddess" protested to the King. But she says it still goes on covertly.

here's a report on sexual abuse of child novice monks: http://www.lamashree.org/dalailama_0...onasteries.htm In the last few years, Kalu Rinpoche, a young incarnate lama, has spoken out on youtube and in media interviews regarding his own sexual abuse as a boy in the monastic system.

Whatever the religion, it seems mixing monks who take a vow of celibacy with children is not a good idea...

• China is censoring the Internet to prevent the population from knowing about what occurs outside the country.
• An internal MSS manual that is kept secret from most officers outlines the primary role of the service as the promotion of Communist Party’s interests.

Two groups in China that are a main focus of the MSS are unofficial Christian churches and the outlawed Falun Gong religious group, he said.
The MSS also has targeted pro-democracy activists, like those who were involved in the mass demonstrations in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square in 1989, he said.

I hate to get into this again, but it is a fact that all nations, great and small, do "what they want with whatever maps suit them." This is not unique to China. In fact, it is especially true of China, which is unique in that it is so old, and has maps from different eras which can play nicely in almost any situation (from powerful empire like Tang, Han to weak tributary state like the Southern Song).

If you argue that China should be confined to only around the valleys of the two rivers, or only around the Yellow, then where should Japan be confined? Or the US or Germany for that matter?

Personally I know many Tibetans in China. They love their own culture and want to keep their identity, but they do not really hate China or want to be separate.
"Activists" like you are the source of troubles in the world.

Take a look at the maps of different Chinese dynasties. Regions were gained or lost, became independent, invaded or ceded over the course of a few thousands years.

Mongolia would still be China's if it wasn't backed by the Soviets. Hong Kong and Macao would not be SARs today if Qing were not forced by the Westerners. Diaoyutai Islands dispute is a result of Japanese governing Taiwan.
