It is well known that Japanese spies and infiltrators have been planning on the disintegration of China since the Ming. The map above shows exactly the fantasy that some Japanese right-wing nuts have of a China dismembered. Many Chinese, on the other hand, continue to praise Mao for uniting China, and insisting on its development of the nuclear weapon option precisely to keep those kind of Japanese fantasy elements at bay.

There are many images from China of a huge mushroom cloud over Tokyo. Will the US come to Japan's aid when its cities are nuked by China? I guess we will never know, hopefully.

I don't think that Japan is in any state to mess with China or foment its disintegration.

If China nuked Japan, then I think that basically every NATO country plus many others would indeed enter a war with China. It's an act that certainly would not go unpunished, but yes, one that thankfully will most likely never materialize. I don't think anyone who counts wants a nuclear war.

You can't just say, hey, because they land-grabbed in the past, we should be able to do it too.

If you're going with the principle that might is right, then well, technically, the U.S can just nuke you(and then the Europeans countries and Russians are left standing). If the Chinese are smart, then they should help the surrounding Asian countries develop nuclear weapons, not trying to land-grab. Acting like a bully will probably only get your own race get wiped out.
But the Chinese land grab was also in the past- China is not CURRENTLY trying to take Tibet, it happened over 60 years ago. So yes, just like the US's land grabs, this one is in the past- it is now a part of China, has been for over 60 years.

What is funny here is people are consistently applying double standard here: when the UK, US, France etc took land from others in the past, it is considered a fact and we shouldn't bother go back and argue against it; while when it comes to China, all of a sudden, China should "give Tibet back".

Please learn a little bit more about Tibet's history and its relationship with the Chinese empire. Throughout its history, it was rarely an independent "country" as many of you seem to believe or imply. Tibet being part of China certainly didn't start in 1950. Be educated.

Being forced to give is still give.
No country donates land.

So you skipped Yuan and Qing and Republic of China.
