Who the heck cares? Just go to Singapore and eat Singaporean food. No one is forcing you otherwise. Why do you have to bash other countries and gloat here? So KIASU!

Postman, why do you insist so much about the unpopularity of Filipino cuisine ? As I said before, there are so many cuisines that are not popular all over the world, after all, there are so many countries, not all countries can take the spot.
So what if it is not popular ? If our cuisine is not popular, there are other things we are popular for...Philippines is known for boxing.
Philippines is known for producing nurses, engineers and domestic helpers globally. So, enough about the unpopularity of Filipino cuisine because if those countries you always mention are popular for their cuisine, they are not popular in other things too.
Honey, that's a futile exercise. You can't convince an expert, with impeccable taste and infallible opinions to change his mind.

Postman, just burn the calories you consumed by eating sophisticated world cuisine doing something else. Enjoy your life and forget about the disgusting flavors of Filipino cuisine. Stop thinking and or inquiring about lechon, or leche flan. Stop wondering about liempo or adobo or pinakbet or tapsi...Don't even do more "research" on the salt-vinegar ridden flavors of the travesty that is Filipino cuisine.

On the other hand, if it is your quest to save the world from Filipino cuisine and do the civilized world a favor by writing about the barbaric culinary traditions of the Philippines, I suggest you try to sell your idea to you Morris Press and better yet Bon Appetit! (http://www.bonappetit.com/contactus) . Maybe you can even submit a video to the Lonely Planet, Travel and Living, Discovery Channel or even CNN. But really, you know what they say, any publicity good or bad, is bad publicity.

You seem to have so much insecurity Postman.
You like so much to compete and put Singapore on top.
I was talking about what the Philippines is popular for and it is for producing nurses, engineers and domestic helpers all over the world including your beloved Singapore.
I like Singapore as it is clean and people are cultured but frankly speaking, I don't understand why it would be a tourist destination when it doesn't really have anything much to offer.

Singapore have big gambling business, great food, some fair colonial heritage, as well one of the best shopping center in the world and a global reknowned reputation.

But maybe the 5 casinos of manila will smack the ass of their casino resort in future.

Besides, Philippines is so disconnected unlike Singapore that is connected to other countries. I didn't intend to go to Singapore last year but as it was just next to Malaysia so I just decided to go there too.
What if Singapore was a 3rd world country, I don't think people would care so much to go there as it doesn't really have anything special just like Hongkong.
Philippines may be poor but it is blessed to have 7,000 islands, white sand Paradise like beaches, festivities and of course friendly people.

I dont think balot is the most well-known Filipino food. It's probably lumpia. It's something that i can mention by name and a lot of people will know what it is. I always have to explain what balot is, I can't just mention the name.

yeah, but balot is also found in other countries, so if we can talk about balot, we can talk about lumpia. And lumpia isn't the exact same as other types of spring rolls.
