One of my old university buddies was from Bangladesh. Unfortunately I haven't kept in touch with him, but was such a cool dude. And no, no strong desire to visit Bangladesh anytime soon.
I want to visit all Asian countries except Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan and North Korea before visiting Bangladesh.
If things weren't so dangerous there I'd love to visit those countries before Bangladesh. Pakistan has stunning mountains, as well as Mohenjo-daro and the Indus valley civilisation, one of the oldest in the world and origin of Indian civilisation. Even if it's safer Bangladesh has little that interests me that I can't find in India. It's pretty dangerous though in terms of disease and traffic.
Bangladesh sounds horrible, idk why but chaotic India comes to my mind and beside the place is much less amazing than India or Sri Lanka, plus its as overpopulated as India which makes it sounds even worse.
I heard branded fabric is cheap though, because its produced there, but i really have no desire to go there.
only if I was from that country and had some type of family connection or roots from that area
some places just arent suitable as tourist destinations, the locals probably wonder why you went there? when there are so many nicer places to go on vacation.
I would like to visit Dhaka once ... to see the handsome parliament building which was designed and built by the famous Philadelphia architect Louis I. Kahn.
