yet the US and UK now pretend to some sort of moral example for other nations preaching others on a daily basis. Fascinating, isn't it?

In the 20 century, the US probably has invaded more countries than any other while China hasn't invaded anyone for God knows how many centuries, yet China is a "threat"? It is like calling Iran a rogue country when Iran apparently hasn't attacked any country for more than 1000 years. Who is good who is bad, everything seems to be up to the Washington DC, irrespective of the facts.

America is the single most imperialistic nation right now because big business runs this country and the want to spread business across the globe and acquire natural resources from other countries.

Oil is the most sought after resource for US which is why we fought 2 gulf wars. The villain in the 2 gulf wars, Saddam Hussein is on the CIA payroll for over 2 decades to fight Iran.

The US problem with China right now is they want the world to isolate China to force China to keep depending on the US to preserve the US treasury's debt loads. Some countries once talked about using China's currency as standard and that talk quickly vanished when US stepped in.

US is going to Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand to try to get them to side with the US and not side with China.

They can only point to human rights violations such as the treatment of Tibetans. While the US looks the other way when Japan slaughters whales and dolphins. They won't even comment on forcing the Japanese to apologize for their treatment of prisoners and women.

Which is what's puzzling about the US is that Japan has killed more Americans and we treat them like friends and China used to be America's ally and USA accuse them of hacking and other dumb atrocities while the NSA are the real culprits behind major world hacking.

China has no friends except for N. Korea and Pakistan. You couldn't have two more disagreeable bedfellows. To put it in colloquial terms, they got some sorta beef with everybody!

Or the human rights of females in Saudi Arabia. Why has the US never complain about that? Oh, it is an ally and the US needs its oil, so human rights don't matter in that country!

The American concern about human rights anywhere on earth is hypocritical and serves nothing but its own political goals. I am so ashamed by its foreign policies and its hypocritical self-righteous accusation toward countries that don't listen to it like Japan or S Korea.

America has no friends either. It only has minions -UK, Japan, Singapore, Korea, Canada, Australia etc. who have to listen to it due to their need for protection.

Seriously, any HUMAN rights violations of a minority group > slaughter of animals that had been traditional sources of food

The China that was US's ally in WWII is the Republic of China, not the People's Republic of China.

.
elaborate what human rights violation of a minority group?
I explained to you prior to 1949 Tibet was a slavery society and Dalai Lama was one of the slavery lords who literally treated the slaves as property who didn't enjoy any "human rights", did you choose to ignore it and just keep on your typical western anti-China propaganda?

I am only reacting to vision33r's statement. I am neither confirming or denying that there are human rights violations or under which rule the Tibetans are better off. I am saying that he should not be comparing anything regarding HUMAN rights/cruelty to animal rights/cruelty.

Alas, this thread isn't about the U.S. I believe China does have an opportunity to play a more constructive role in Asian affairs. The PRC could be providing leadership for more regional collaboration based on mutual trust and friendship, but it seems more preoccupied with prodding and bullying it's neighbors.
