If they really saw the plane flying around the Maldives chances are big the plane is now in Pakistan, Yemen or Somalia.
The plane wouldn't have enough fuel to reach the Other Stans/Xinjiang from that location.

I read the news that the phone of a passenger aircraft still active, but no voice answered, there is little chance they are still alive 50: 50
Malaysia Aircraft lost became more mystery, many people think in the plow, the possibility that passengers there is hope still life.
but if the plane crashed into the sea .. all just leave the name, just sadness and sorrow to the end for the families left behind ^^^^

This is a very sad situation and it seems that Malaysian authorities simply haven't been able to run an efficient investigation as we still really have no idea what actually happened to this airplane.

Correct. The sighting over the Maldives changes the original theory that the plane was headed to Central Asia. Except there are some claims out there that the Maldives sighting was a false report. Given the detailed nature of it, though, that's hard to believe.

Yes, this really makes you wonder.
Why in the world would all of these people lie?
Maybe Boeing would rather it be terrorist.

The plane didn't have enough fuel to reach Somalia either and probably not to Yemen.

The plane is NOT in Pakistan or India, every airstrip is close to an urban center or a decent sized town. Pakistan has advanced military radar and so does India so if it came anywhere near the eastern border of the two countries it was detected.

Maybe you are ignorant to the fact both countries are nuclear armed neighbors with 60 year old border dispute. Even the western area border is highly monitored by Pakistan after the US incursion. Nothing is getting in or out without the military knowing. For god sakes India and Pakistan constantly monitor the airspace and have scramble jets just because of UAV's flying close to the border. You seem to think somehow a huge jetliner is going to evade the radar?!?!

I sometimes wonder why people are so ignorant to such common sense.

I keep seeing that map with the "ping" line. It is interesting how they rule out the area near where the plane "disappeared." Maybe this is why the can't find the plane.

Actually, they now think the plane is in the general area of the southern ping line, off the coast of Australia, and they're directing search efforts there. (Though Australia was already search the area. They now have a more precise idea of where the plane went down.)

Let's hope they're right this time. There have been too many contradictions, denials of sightings, re-interpretations of info and altered statements, etc. For the sake of the families of the passengers, they need to find something.
