A Chinese man has been deported from the Philippines after a flight attendant said he was bullied before take-off in Shanghai on Friday.
A Philippines Airlines flight crew filed a complaint against Chinese tourist Liu Biqing, 47, with Philippine immigration officers upon arrival at Manila’s international airport, leading to his immediate deportation, said the Manila Bulletin.
Who was brave? I think the flight attendant was male and it didn't say he fought back.
Sorry I didn't read it well, I thought it was a she.. Anyway he was brave enough file a complaint. Some people will just probably let it go. It was good that he stood up and complained so that person will learn how to treat people right next time.
Many Chinese tourists from PRC lack any civility and manners. Cutting in line and acting like nothing happened, is one of the most common offenses. Attacking flight attendants could land you a felony conviction in the US with a charge of "interfering with flight crews". I am glad he was deported.

Really? People should be deported for not sending their Grandmother a Thank-you note for the nice gift. or eating salad with the wrong fork? Or not saying "Please hand me a hot towel, I've been waiting way too long for the level of service that I have paid for".
The article admits that there is "mounting tensions over a territorial dispute". Are we to assume that one side is entirely responsible for the tension, and the Chinese do not perceive the Filipinos of "ill-mannered" treatment of Chinese visitors? Did the Chinese visitor get the benefit of due process and a fair hearing regarding the accusations against him, with impartial witnesses? We're only getting one side of what is obviously a much more complicated story.
Even from this horribly slanted news report, it doesn't sound to me like the flight attendant was "attacked".

Did you read the article? That man whisked the hot towel pouring water droplets over the flight attendant. In the United States, he could be booked for assault over that behavior and held in Jail and would have to pay bail to get out. The Philippines authorities were lenient on him by just deporting him immediately on arrival.
