this topic is about casinos or governments restricting some or all local people from entering casinos in Asia. Please do not go off-topic to discuss casinos or gambling.

Singapore charges locals S$100 for every entry into a casino to discourage them from gambling in casinos. No such restriction on betting on horse races, soccer matches in other countries , lotteries and entry into majong parlours.

South Korean citizens cannot enter casinos in S Korea.

Civil servants in Macau are strictly forbidden to enter casinos except on duty.

Casinos are allowed only in Goa but not all other states of India.

I know. Seems kind of wrong if you ask me. On one hand, yes they don't want gambling addiction to be a problem in Sing, but it's a form of discrimination.

I once went to the Casino on jeju island and was the only person in it. No idea how the casinos in Korea survive.

Good scammers only need 1 customer (victim) per day.

When the Marina Bay Sands casino in Singapore first opened I went in out of curiosity and walked around for about ten minutes and left. Just another way to lose money.

Why Singapore's government imposed a $100 Levy is to discourage problem gambling..

The PM mentioned, leave the gambling to the foreigners...
