True, Indonesia definitely has the run in terms of volcanoes.

Sadly there are very few orang asli in Malaysia. They were there before the Malays. In Sarawak, there are the various tribal groups too of course.
Malaysia is basically absent of volcano, they can be a blessing because they gave you fertile soils and shaped beautiful landscapes but also disasters... The number of tribes in malaysia is minly in borneo, but indonesian tribal villages probably are superior when it comes to experience.

The number of tribes? and probably the level of isolation since they tend to be located in middle of no where or tiny random islands, which leads to more awesome cultural experience. You can't experience seeing bull slaughter, stone age level villages, blood sacrifices or death rituals with skulls scattered in streets in Malaysia.
