Angeles City definitely rivals those two. It's just less well known as a general tourist destination, more a specialised whoring destination.

If you really have no interest in that sort of thing it's pretty easy to avoid it. It's not it's everywhere. In Bangkok, it's mostly Patpong, Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy...

i heard a friend talking to his friend, he told him that he is going to Pattaya...he warned my friend to be aware of ladyboys :-)
Even at the heart of BKK, ie at Silom Soi i think...you can see sexy bars and prostitutes along the road calling everyone who passes by....even passers-by with children or minors...

Silom is more a financial/shopping area, you might see the odd few, but it's not really that prevalent there.
There was an episode of Anthony Bourdain's food/travel show "Parts Unknown" on CNN Sunday night. He and friend traveled across Thailand. One thing I noticed was the way some women in Chiang Mai city appeared - dressed with few clothes and lots of makeup, as if they were trying to appeal to sex tourists - "dirty old men" from Europe and North America. I have long heard stories about sex tourism in Bangkok. Why is it like this?
