Well it starts at home. The kids learn their behaviors from their parents. As parents we have to set good examples for them and keep them alway from trash. Sure they will be exposed to it when they start school and otherwise. But you talk to your children and teach them right from wrong. That trash is there but it's a waste of your time. My children are in Asia now, they live in the countryside. They live a pretty simple but comfortable life. Their grand parents have animals which is always cool when your a child. It's not a trashy place like what we have in the U.S.
Bkk is expensive. In the gogos om the main red light districts (nana and cowboy) Ladydrinks 150-200b, barfines 600-1000b, girls ask 2000b shorttime 4000b longtime. In the surrounding freelancer hangouts around lower sukhumvit girls ask 1500-3000b for long time. The nice massage places along ratchada are 4000b+. If you dont go w a sizable bankroll then you're not going to have a good time. Whoever said a few dollars is delusional. Patts is expensive also. And cambo is hardly that cheap anymore either.
As far as percentages, ya'll are way of base. Under 1% working girls in bkk and under 5% in patts. Plus only a tiny fraction of customers are farang.

Yes, spoken like a true insider...the last part is something that many don't realise. Aside from Thais themselves, biggest whoremongers are other Asians.
If we are talking about sexually culture in Asia, based on my observation Japan is one of the most open-minded. In Thailand from what I heard it is illegal for any form of sex industry to operate, most of them you see around are underground. On another hand in Japan sex industry are freely legal to operate.
^ It's been said you can get any kind of sexual fix in Japan except vanilla sex...but I can't speak for it much.
In Thailand it being 'illegal' works in favour of the government. They take bribes from brothel owners/pimps.etc, 'protection money', and the sex industry is openly tolerated and even encouraged. Corruption, my friend...

Thailand is a corrupt country to be sure, but bar owners don't have to pay protection money to the BIB. This is complete fantasy. They are legitimate businesses.

Well because they themselves aren't brothels, the girls there basically just work as dancers, but it's understood that it's a place where customers come and make informal 'arrangements' as if they were just picking up a girl. I don't see why the government wouldn't want to get money from them if they could...lest they actually bring out the books...
