Interesting- my Palestinian grandfather's Palestinian passport from 1942 clearly says on the first page, "Nationality: Palestinian." We aren't Jewish.

The person you quotes stated thecity of Jerusalem. You are stating the region of Jerusalem. You are not on the same page. As per the war of 1967 the entire country belongs to Israel no matter what any other country or organization states. Thus Israeli authorities can bulldoze any home they want based on it being built without a permit (but if you look at it, it's at the end of a lengthy case in court about the ownership of the land) . To say this is only done by Israelis is false. As Arab leaders also do it in other regions of the territories they have control over.

The person you are quoting mistakenly left out the word also. All people after WW1 who were residents of the Mandate passports created by the British stated Nationality: Palestinian.

The fact that you are resorting to extreme conspiracy theories shows your true feelings.

(2)Btw- I come from a Palestinian Christian family. Jewish terrorists entered our village in what is now Jaffa county and told us to leave or die. We then fled to Ramallah, which my family fled in the 60's. I don't care for Jerusalem as I am not the most religious person, and the city seems to bring out the worst of people. May Palestinian cities, including Ramallah, are much more liberal and laid back than Jerusalem. However, it's holy to many Palestinian Christians, as Jesus was crucified in what is today's Jerusalem. And they make up 20% of the Palestinian population world wide, not 6%. And the 3% figure includes Gaza, which never had much of a Christian population at all. The West Bank is about 10% Christian, with a figure of about 25% in the Ramallah-Bethlehem areas. The Al Aqsa mosque and Dome of the Rock, where Muslims believe Muhammad ascended into heaven, is in Jerusalem. So they find it holy too.
(1) Look at the date of the article. Its the same date of the kidnapping. Media is quick to print everything and anything to get a jump on a news story. The truth came out four days later.

Kidnapping and murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The point the poster is making is that Arab Muslims will jump up and riot no matter what the truth is and usually the same day.

(2) I'm guessing you're talking about the late 40's. Neither side was innocent then. As to Christian Arabs currently they are treated much worse by Muslim Arabs than by Jews. Look at the US. The majority of Arabs are Christians and not Muslims.

The point the poster was stating is that Muslims had killed Khdeir because he was gay. That shows how low that poster will go to blame others for crimes of Israelis. We see this all the time. Whenever a church, mosque or other Palestinian property is defaced or attacked by radical Jews, you get a bunch of Zionists saying that it's secretly Arabs doing it to make Jews look bad.

Yes, Arab Christians are treated worse by Muslims when they are by Jews today- because Jews only have one nation. Palestinian Christians are treated just as bad as the Muslims by Israel today. Since 9/11, Zionists have pretended to love Palestinian Christians in attempt to garner support from the West, especially the United States. Ironically, Zionists hate it when Palestinian Christians speak about their experiences and try to censor them more then they do the Muslims. The perfect example was the 60 Minutes special on Christians in the Holy Land, who shared their experience living under Israeli occupation. Before it even aired, the Israeli Ambassador to the United States tried having the documentary stopped from being aired- fearing that US Christians wouldn't like seeing Israel's horrific oppression of Palestinian Christians.

Your attempt to protect him his heart-warming lol.

No, he didn't mistake to leave out the word "also." He was insinuating that Palestinians "did not exist" at the time. And that the term only applied to Jews who lived in Palestine. It's a common Zionist lie(some try quoting party of an interview by Baathist "PLO" member, Zuheir Mohsen).

Yes, Arab nations also bulldoze homes of citizens, including Hamas. But what Hamas did in no way compares to Israel's campaign of home demolitions. Lets look at the facts from an Israeli rights group.

The poster stated nothing but what the media put out at the time. Attacking the poster for relaying a news link for that day doesn't put you in the best light either. And when a church, mosque or other Palestinian property is defaced there will be small amount of Ultra Orthodox Jews who will state it was done by Arabs. And Arabs deface Israeli property a group of extremist Arabs do the same thing. But the one stark difference is the Jews voice their concerns and Arabs riot.

As to the 60 Minute link it doesn't say much of anything either way. And if we look at the Arab population in the US, they are mostly Christian and not Muslim. And most of them are not Palestinian. Adult Christians know the truth rather the perception of truth that you seem to follow.

No matter what you believe as being your perception of the facts were, the reality of the truth is that ALL residents of the mandate were Palestinians and so named by the British. If not the British then they would of held on the names of the municipalities they lived under while under the Ottomans for 100's of years and there was no such place under them either.

Now let's look at the real facts from the Palestinian gov't themselves compared to an organization that barely has enough funding to keep their webpage up and nothing much else and without funding most have left since there is no money to line their pockets with.

Since you stated in the 60's that your family left Ramallah, Before 1967 it was under Jordan control and after 1967 it was under Israeli control. Most Christians left Ramallah while under Jordanian rule and not Israeli rule. What was once a largely majority Christian city is now a largely minority Christian city. Either way it had little to nothing to do with Jews.

Ramallah - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As to your Grandfather fleeing to Ramallah, personally I think he moved to Ramallah as it was a a large step up economically compared to what was left of Jaffa after the revolt of the Arabs against the British.
Buy 1942 there wasn't much left of Jaffa.

'60 minutes' profiles Palestinian Christians
Most Christian Zionists/Evangelicals don't consider Palestinian Christians to be real Christians so they have no qualms with the Israelis engaging in any kind of oppression against them. In fact a lot of Christian Zionists consider Palestinian Christians to be Dhimmis thus untrustworthy when it comes to their experiences. A lot of those Christian Zionists/Evangelicals hate Catholics so expecting them to like a Palestinian Christian is a huge stretch since they are Orthodox which is a branch of Christianity that they (Christian Zionists) have an even lower regard for than Catholicism.
