You mean city... and Manila, coming from a Half Chinese and Half mexican guy with relative in Maynila(yes thats how you spell it in Ang Republika Ng Pilipinas) . I've been to Shanghai, Taipei, and Beijing. I LOVE MANILA, although its very poor, everything is cheap and everyone speak English... they do in china too, but MANILA STILL BETTER!!!
oh... and Bangladesh is a county, not a city... if you mean Dhaka...
Astana is not as prominent as Tashkent IMO.
Mabuhay!

Have you been to Tehran? Northern Tehran is more affluent than the south which has more social deprivation.

Tehran is quite random and new as a city. The skyline is alright. The surrounding mountains look beautiful. If you just take the buildings and streets into consideration I suppose Tehran could have been in USA which probably is surprising to those Americans who know very little of the country beyond news and false movie depictions of which "300" was the last one made. Keep in mind Los Angeles is a sister city of Tehran. Both cities have a smog problem. Generally speaking, I would say Iranians and Americans have more in common than often believed.

I once met a Swedish worker who seriously believed people in Iran don't have houses.

By the way, Asia is quite meaningless. Beirut has in many ways more in common with the Mediterranean world and it has very little or nothing to do with Chinese cities.

Shanghai is always my favorite. Beijing is decent but a little bit dirty.

Saigon. To some it's known as Hochiminh City. Still listed as Saigon on most airport schedules thruout Asia.

Curious as to why no city in Vietnam is on your list, yet you have Israeli , and even a Lebanese cities on it.
