As you have said, nothing to question/issue on that.

as the title says Indonesia vs. Malaysia.

so let's continue instead, as you have said again, the other things to look upon... I'm just learning and observing though being a foreigner to both countries.

Overall, I would choose Malaysia, of course!
Way way more developed than Indonesia. Much more interesting and international in my opinion with a blend of Malay, Indian and Chinese. It is truly Asia! Although I might choose Indonesia when it comes to natural attraction since it is bigger and has lots of islands. Needless to say, I always see Indonesia as Malaysia's poorer but bigger version.

Of course Indonesia is the best -
I disagree with your comment, because you only see from the outside , What interesting from Malaysia?? they do not have beautiful temples and pagodas like Indonesian have, they do not have the beautiful and interesting culture than Indonesian even their often claims Indonesian culture of course really different from their/ Malay culture . and they do not have the beautiful natural attractions such as Indonesia . now many foreign tourists who come to visit Indonesia to exceed the target of foreign tourist visits which have been set.

Malaysia looks good in cities, in villages still look Poor as well .. same with other Southeast Asian countries except Singapore

I believe at a time when Indonesia is more rich and prosperous ^^^^____

Nasi lemak comes from Malaysia obviously, we don't really have any counterpart of it. Its been compared with nasi uduk, but we put more spices when making the rice and the condiment are different.

Wayang kulit is from Java, there is many variation of wayang in southeast asia and southern india, but the javanese and balinese ones are not similar to those in malaysia. The wayang in malaysia are influence from thailand rather than javanese, its the reason why the indonesian govt are mad before when the javanese/balinese wayang are portrayed instead of the kelantan one for the tourism ad campaign.
