There's a huge difference between your examples and that of Tibet or Xinjiang. For starters, nobody is occupying Quebec or Puerto Rico. Secondly the Conch Republic is a tongue in cheek joke, it's not real.
The independence movement in Puerto Rico is basically dead. They havent been able to garner anything beyond a fringe element in over 70 years. Even under the Spanish the independence movement was basically a joke.
The real movement in Puerto Rico is what form of union Puerto Rico should have within the United States: statehood or the existing territorial status.
There are too many independent countries already, I don't envision any new independent state in Asia right now.
Fortunately HK and Macau are now part of China again after a century being colonized by foreign powers.

It is easy for Hong Kong to get rich considering the favourable policies toward it BY China for decades, but let's not pretend HK is wealthy BECAUSE of its legal system and the "freedom", or because of the British rule. Plenty of cities have those yet never achieved anything.
Many HKers naively think HK was able to achieve its current status under the British rule - well, that's just sheer stupidity. London ruled many cities and countries around the world, and most of them are p*sing poor today. HK is rich because it is next to China, and special circumstances at the time make it possible for HK to be a trade and finance hub.
I'd like to have an experiment by letting HK to go solo and cut the ties between it and China (as many HKers seem to prefer) and let's see how far it can go. Unfortunately it won't happen.

your list looks ridiculous. Maybe Singapore is remotely comparable. You honestly compare Canada/US/Australia/New Zealand with colonies?
And oil rich middle east countries with HK, which has no natural resource whatsoever? Brunei is the same. Trinidad & Tobago also gets more of its wealth from oil and gas. And interesting, none of these countries were rich when they were UNDER the UK rule, were they?
Botswana? You mean a country with a life expectancy of 54 years, and 25% of adults infected with HIV? Just so you know it is a matter more complicated than just looking at GDP per capita, which is probably what you did.
Israel? The country of Israel was not governed and managed by the UK as far as I know.
