Aside from the feces another frequent complaint I have heard is about the amount of rip off artist there are in India. You have to be careful from everything from the taxi driver to the people selling crafts to the fake religious people.
I really wanted to go to India but the more I learn about it the less I want to go. I think Sri Lanka might be a better option.
I didn't get through the first video too disgusting. The second video is an eye opener basically the country is disgusting and filthy with human feces because of beliefs.
if that's true, than why isn't bali, nepal, bangladesh, the indo-caribean states full of feces?

If you really want to go to India, just go.
I've been there twice. It's a huge country, everything is a bit differnet eerywhere you go. I've also been to Sri Lanka, and it is fairly similar to India, just a little bit different again, just like everywhere in India.
The feces thing...I didn't see that in Goa, but it doesn't surprise me. But those videos look like they are probably near all of the massive poverty issues that line the beaches along Mumbai. I also wouldn't be surprised if you'd see those in any other overcrowded poverty-stricken city like Nairobi, Manila, etc. Not everywhere has a sanitation system for people to go to. Particularly if they live in cardboard-built slums.
That being said, India also has a lot of nice areas of most of their cities too. Shopping malls, educated people, and all the rest. You'll find that too.
Scams, I saw a lot of it Delhi, very little in Mumbai, and almost nothing in Bangalore. It just depends on where you go. WHen I was in cities like Delhi, I just took grabtaxi everywhere and avoided the taxi touts on corners, and I never got ripped off.
Dhaka (Bangladesh) is one of the densest, most-populated cities on earth. Around 14 million people with a density of 115,000 people per square mile.
Yikes!
