So you post videos of a highway and a mall. Is the Jakarta experience in a car or inside a mall? You really need to promote your city better.

Meanwhile, in Manila.

He's walking around outside, enjoying his neighborhood in BGC. Notice how easy it is to get everywhere on foot

Walking around Makati- from Legazpi Park, through Legazpi Village, Ayala Park, then Greenbelt

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7am8TSivBHc

Eastwood City- notice how he doesnt even go inside the mall because there's so much stuff outside. All the people are outside enjoying the city, not stuck inside the mall

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46LfuT33gCM

Walking around Binondo and trying all the food

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sECozSy7FY

Walking around Intramuros and seeing all the beautiful historic sites

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-fISzmWkes

All the people outside enjoying Manila Baywalk. (this one only plays on youtube)

I haven't been to any of them (yet), but Bangkok seems to be on another level of development and attractiveness.

MRT-7 is a brand-new line opening up in a year. It's going to be longer than the combined length of Jakarta's MRT/LRT lines opening up this year.

https://www.facebook.com/Infrastruct...0847136591725/

And in March, they're adding these hyrbid-electric trains to the commuter line

https://www.update.ph/2016/06/philip...-3-photos/6774

These were invented and built in the Philippines.

Pedestrian-bridges are nice. Ours aren't fancy, they're more for function. Ortigas and Makati have a whole network of elevated walkways. Not just crossing the roads, but also along the roads

Ortigas CBD has just built and is continuing to built its network
https://news.abs-cbn.com/business/11/21/17/metro-manila-growing-more-walkable-one-footbridge-at-a-time

Makati CBD has had its elevated walkway network for awhile

Metro Manila · Staying dry in Makati

I havent used the ones in Ortigas yet because they're new. But the ones in Makati are connected to an MRT station, several malls, and all the way to the far end of Makati.

These walkways are good for when it's raining. Or when you want to walk from one end of the CBD to another and you dont want to deal with crossing the streets. So in Manila, it's not just about crossing the highway, it's about getting around the entire business district.

It’s very good that Jakarta and Manila are expandinf their mass transit systems! In this regard, Bangkok is distinctly doing better than either and will be for the foreseeable future.

Indonesian transportation is The best No. 3 in Asean, the pinoy that put the train pics that it's still in the planning stage and the train there is not in manila btw in the video that I posted will start next month. Jakarta MRT / LRT is a transportation system that will provide good transportation for the community and equipped with world-class facilities

Well, I hope it races towards number 1 as I also hope with Manila's system. I think a bit of competitive spirit is good in this regard.

As it stands, Bangkok certainly beats both Jakarta and Manila. It'd be great if Bangkok massively improved and yet Jakarta and Manila still beat Bangkok on this metric, because that means the whole region has done better.

But Kuala Lumpur's public transport is very good as well. Probably on par with Bangkok's. But of course, none of them can beat Singapore's .
