Just an article about how humane and wonderful the US was during the Korean War. Certainly morally superior to those dastardly Asians like the Chinese and Japanese.
The Korean War has long been called the Forgotten War. What is remembered about ut is US troops being overrun by the sheer size of China's Army. Without fighter pilots becoming aces at a rate their older brothers did during WWII the air campaign is little noticed beyond the use of jets and not propeller driven planes.

You mean forgotten just like how the Japanese forgot their atrocities during WWII? Guess the US isn't all that different from the nationalists in Japan.

No forgotten in the sense that the war was just an echo of WWII and as the first direct US combat in the Cold War the lesson was learned that no matter how much fire power was unleashed another Chinese soldier was coming over the top of the trenches.

You're approaching it from a military history angle, X14 is approaching it from a specifically social, anti-US angle, as they usually do, so you're going to have different conclusions as to why, what, and how were forgotten.
The US did plenty of bad stuff, for sure. The Koreans did horrific things to eachother on the wholesale, so it's not as if the Koreans were just trying to politely work throigh their differences when the big, bad United Statesians came and started murdering everyone. The US never should have been involved, IMHO, but there's not really much anyone can do about it now, is there?

From a historical political stand point everybody who had anything to do with the Korean War except Korean children remembered the Second World War, and to them everything in Korea was a sideshow compared to the bigger conflict. All in all the Korea War is just not important to the political consciousness of the world outside of Korea. So yes it is forgotten like the winner of any sporting regular season event is forgotten compared to the memories of the championship games.
Another part of it is that the Korean war ended in a stalemate rather than the decisive victory that WW2 was for the US and its allies. Most people would rather remember their nation's resounding victories than anything less.
