Bozacada is free of Arabs and still has a very Aegean character. As far as I know, Gökçeada is as well.

I like Bahrain and Dubai. If you consider Turkey the Middle East, then that would be my 1st choice to go.

Istanbul- a beautiful, elegant, bustling megapolis where the East meets west, steeped in the history of multiple ancient empires with breathtaking ruins and beautiful beaches a short day trip away. There is such a wealth of things to see and do in Turkey (and the neighbouring Greek Isles) so research meticulously before you go!

Marrakech- Beautiful, exotic, colourful and vibrant, with wonderful food markets, beautiful riad accommodation at cheap prices and fantastic nightlife. Bohemian beach resorts (Essouria) and quaint French-influenced ski towns in the Atlas Mountains alike are easy to access from Marrakech. I'd also suggest coupling this with a few days in Fez, the country's more sedate, spiritual heart with a mesmeric charm of its own.
