Are Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, France, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Austria, and UAE other emerging destinations to visit for Singaporeans?
It really depends, middle-class Singaporeans tend to be able to afford budget flights/low-cost carriers to anywhere within a 3-4 hour flight, so Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and also Bali and Perth are popular and always have been popular destinations for a long time.

There is actually a lot of low-cost carrier airlines/budget airlines in South-east Asia, and prices are really low, sometimes reaching as low as $20 if your timing is right and luck is really on your side.

Otherwise, on a weekend, they would take a road trip to malaysia, I just cam back from a road trip to Ipoh, at the state of Perak, visited some caves there, and also visited Cameron Highlands.

France, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Austria, and UAE are a bit further away, and thus, a bit more expensive, so it is usually well-to-do Singaporeans with more money cash whom tend to go to these places.

I bet Bubble Tea is most affordable around Taiwan. Not too expensive here. Singapore might be more expensive than where I live, yet people have more money. Wow, even in Singapore not enough money to support all of those stalls, and they declare bankruptcy.

Some stores I know sell Bubble Tea, Coffee, lots of restaurant meals, unique ambiance symbols resembling chandeliers antiques castle furniture, and wireless internet.
Yeah, I like Black sesame bubble tea too!

Some of the restaurants in Singapore also follow that concept, with antique furniture and wireless internet too.

Yeah, Singapore's exact geographic positioning is more advantageous to international travel compared to Australia/New Zealand or the West Coast of North America.

Wow, even Oceania is not as isolated when having a comparison to the West Coast of USA/Canada. At least Southeast Asia is infinitely closer to Australia while everything except Mexico is pretty damn far away from West Coast.

Really lucky Swiss, Austrians, Hong Kongers, and Singaporeans get to have more paid work security, usually higher paid annual salaries, and much more close proximity to international travel destinations all over the Globe compared to Canada/USA.

Well, if around 17% of Singaporeans are literally millionaires, are at least 90% of all Singaporeans comfortably middle class to rich? I bet the poverty rate is close to non-existent around Singapore compared to a vast majority of Planet Earth nations.

Woah, those are ultra cheap and affordable flights around Southeast Asia. Two summers ago, I had an incredible $85 flight from Bucharest Romania to Paris France on a Hungarian airplane company.

Borneo Island area of Malaysia is quite far away. Regions of southern Mainland Malaysia up to the geographic center is without a doubt road trip weekend readily accessible.

Singapore's average annual income is $81,300-$83,066. Equivalent to 3rd-4th rank on top of the World according to GDP per capita average income. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...%29_per_capita. High percentage of them must qualify with the classification, and being able to afford France, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Austria, and UAE.

HK's georaphic position also makes it a hub for international travel. Flying to Beijing, Korea and Japan is about the same time as flying to Singapore, Bali and Delhi of India. Most of Asia are within 5.5 hours of flying time. That including to and from Guam and Saipan, US territories in the Western Pacific too. Singapore and HK are closer to Australia too than Europe and Americas.

Real poverty does not exist in all high income countries of Asia. For Singapore, they just earn much more than the people in neigbouring Southeast Asian countries. They can travel to EU and the US visa free with Singaporean passports.

It's not 1975 any more. Vietnam is still poor but incomes are growing rapidly, tourism and industry are booming, and it is peaceful.

Hong Kong is a very wealthy city. Opulent city-state nation comparable to Singapore. Technically separate governing entity yet equally combined with mainland China. Although, Hong Kong is not quite nearly as affluent. Another demographic.

Even though Hong Kong is technically a tad wealthier than USA according to average per capita income of their own citizens at approximately $55,200, Singapore is even more high income at the average of $83,066. USA is at $54,370. When using some European nations for some examples, Norway is at $67,166, Switzerland $57,235, Hungary $24,721, Portugal $28,393, and Bosnia Herzegovina only $9,536.

My analyzing is verifying the fact variable Asians nations are wealthier than some European nations depending on the ones referenced.

Yeah, geography is more advantageous and to people's favor around Europe, Asia, and everything in between compared to North America or Oceania.

I believe all of the wealthy Asian nations you are talking about are Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Brunei, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, and arguably Malaysia. If anyone includes west of India, then also UAE, Qatar(Woah, the wealthiest nation on the entire Planet technically based on some measures just because of oil!), Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kazakhstan, and maybe Azerbaijan.

No wonder Europeans or Asians of those countries are usually more avid well experienced World travelers when comparing to the isolation of some average overly provincial narrow minded ignorant North Americans.

You are right. Vietnam really is a hypnotically alluring attractive, and desirable country. At the very least to visit and knowing lots of relevant exotic information.

Just three decades later staring around 2005, Vietnam is not recognizable anymore. Vietnam ranks high on the Global Peace Index, Happiness Scale, and the Global Terrorism Risk is literally at a zero. Infinitely more stable than Thailand. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped..._Index.svg.png, http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/...6505119691.jpg, https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...12/gti2011.jpg

There is already a solid emerging middle class around Vietnam. Enough middle class, and wealthy people are starting to become more common. Vietnamese money currency makes everyone feel more opulent than they are occasionally.

Introductory Map Of Vietnam. Can anyone guess before they see this image how many provinces are over there of Vietnam, and how much people live there? I was very surprised myself. Wow. http://previews.123rf.com/images/mon...ock-Vector.jpg

Vietnam definitely does not belong with these countries. It has a lower Human Develop Index and GDP Per Capita than Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines

HDI 2015
Thailand- 0.726
Indonesia- 0.684
Philippines- 0.668
Vietnam- 0.666

GDP Per Capita (PPP) 2014
Thailand- $15,579
Indonesia- $10,651
Philippines- $6,974
Vietnam- $5,656

Thailand belongs on this list, Vietnam does not

Upon closer retrospection, I want to accommodate Thailand on the Talk thread of favorite Asian nations. Too late now. They equally belong on the list (Vietnam and Thailand).

I highlight Vietnam before Thailand because I really prefer Vietnam according to lots of reasons. Vietnam is much more of a stable country lately. Ranks very high on the Global Peace Index, Happiness Scale, and not having any terrorist problems at all compared to Thailand. Vietnam's terrorist threat is literally at a zero while some areas of Thailand is more dangerous than what people anticipate. Especially at the far south near the Malaysian border.

There are more major cities variability in Vietnam compared to Thailand. More varied towns too. Vietnam has much more diversity of architecture, especially because of those French colonial buildings. Immaculate combination together in harmony of those Asian temples. Vietnam's Independent Wifi Cafe atmosphere is one of the best in the entire World. Amazing ultra vibrant very spiritual utopia independent cafes everywhere occasionally.

Vietnam really is a euphoric satisfying dreamy tropical paradise nation while Thailand really has some issues despite being really fine. Starting right now, a vast majority of people want to visit Vietnam rather than Thailand. Emerging underrated tourism destination golden treasure and not an overly known borderline tourist trap overrated or appropriately rated Thailand. I don't understand when foreigners want Thailand before any other Asian nation while there are other available options resembling Vietnam, Malaysia, Hong Kong/Macau/China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Indonesia. Of course I am fan of Thailand too. Arguably, they might have even better nightlife than Vietnam.

Why are you saying any derogatory condescending remarks on Malaysia, and those other surrounding or not too far away nations? They are all unique, and have a powerful cultural realm. Around Malaysia they even have their own universal alien racial classification not originally found anywhere else. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malay_race and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysian_Malay alternatively known as Bumiputera or Bumiputra (Jawi: بوميڤوترا) Melayu Anak Jati or Melayu Anak Dagang depending on if they are native or not. Religious spirituality demographics is a really unusual harmonious blend with millions of Buddhist, Hindu, Christian, and Muslim citizens less than 1% atheist. There isn't any other country really having Malaysia's exact statistical demographic.

Singapore's business activity is undeniably a top ranked international force to be reckoned with, and Singapore-Brunei-Macau are really successful ending up wealthier than a vast majority of the Globe.

Malaysia literally has my number one favorite car company of the entire World with those Proton company vehicles. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proton_%28automobile%29 How exotic these cars are! http://content.icarcdn.com/styles/ar...?itok=qEMiQHy2 They sell them around more than 25 countries outside of Malaysia all over Europe, Asia, and everything in between, yet not at all with North America. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proton...al_network.svg
