I actually find a lot of Chinese people to have quite a lot of faith in the government. Not in a 'looking after themselves' kind of way, but more of a 'we will rule the world and one day everyone will speak Chinese because our government is so mighty and we have so much money and other countries are so scared of us' type of twisted mindset.

Lots of Chinese people also love to talk about the 5000 years of history and culture bs, which is extremely annoying and hilariously ignorant, as if all other countries are inferior culturally and historically. So there, I guess you guys also have a lot of faith in your history and culture.
If you dig in Chinese forums, you will also find a lot of self loathing people, who claim Caucasians are superior, for example. There are all sorts of people in China. Some are so hilarious that you don't know whether they are serious.

Gods in Chinese culture can do bad things too. As a Taiwanese you should know it. So people try to please the gods.

This seems to be a favorite hobby of a lot of young white Americans, who will bend over backwards and even spend years going to university to learn all about how anything from white people is inferior to Asian, African, Latin, Native American, etc culture... all you have to do is go on Tumblr.

I think "liberalism" goes too far in America. It also makes people weak.
