Anti-Christmas protesters calling themselves "Losers with Women" marched through Tokyo's streets Saturday, bashing the upcoming holiday as a capitalist ploy that also discriminates against singletons.

The group of about 20 -- part of the Communist-inspired group that routinely protests Western holidays -- marched under angry banners that read "Smash Christmas!" in Tokyo's Shibuya district, where couples and families strolled for holiday shopping.

I've heard somewhere that you guys in the US hesitate to say "Merry Christmas" these days because of lovely PC. Is that true? PC supporters welcome those single men in Japan, I guess.

BTW, according to our tradition, we eat a "Christmas cake" here in Japan, lol...

Some businesses prefer Happy Holidays. Businesses have been sued for requiring employees to greet customers with "Merry Christmas".

Christmas is part of the culture in the US many people exchange gifts and share a meal with family on Christmas that aren't believers.

The protesters come across as being cheap, most women like gifts.

I heard about the KFC things a few years back...that seems strange Somehow.
My Son was telling me before that Christmas is different in Japan than what it is here...that it is more of a romantic holiday
(Think Valentines day infused into Christmas).

Oh, thank you for reminding me that! Yes, many Japanese eat KFC!

I myself haven't eaten KFC for a decade or so though...

Yes, that's 100% correct!

If you were a man and didn't ask your lover for a gorgeous dinner, which must be ordered much longer before you order your KFC, then you should be ready for breaking up, lol.

Yes, that is a man's obligation. There are various gender discrimination here in Japan.
