Should anyone who dislikes religion like Duterte because he has a beef with the Catholic Church?

That's a bit of a logic jump.

Duterte is a man of the left. What if he pursues Chinese-style population control policies, including forced abortions? Encourages more anti-American demonstrations like the one that took place at the American embassy in Manila a few days' ago?

Israel only has like 8 million people. There's way more Filipinos that speak English it is taught in the schools...and there's way more Filipino-Americans than Israeli-Americans. Just face it dude the US blows billions of dollars in the Middle East and ignores struggling free countries like the Philippines. Now the US is going to pay for it by slowly losing an important, close ally, AND another country may turn to communism now.

Big fail by the US. Big fail. Duterte already hated the US he's a loser no matter what and has the intelligence level of a turkey but the problem is eventually the people are going to start agreeing with him and that's when we completely lose the Philippines as an ally in Asia.

Exactly. He is trying to encourage the country to be Anti-US. He's very similar to dictators in the past 100 years and even some terrorist leaders probably.

Still doesn't take away the fact that more Israeli's speak English as their 1st language than Filipino's do.

I know, I'm a rare example of a Filipino raised in the Philippines who grew up speaking English, (I haven't really been English-speaking for five years because of fear, but I still think in English a lot, like 65% of the time), and during my teen years, I was made to think I was a preppy and unpatriotic byotch.

US already had plans to overturn Duterte and had been cutting back aid towards that end
