Hi, I am playing around with the idea of visiting Dubai in the fall or spring. My question is, what is the best area to stay? Not necessarily which hotel, but what location?

I wont be with a family or a spouse, its mainly a singles trip (there might be a couple with as as well).

Thanks,

There is a lot of subareas and where you stay depends on what you want to do but I would recommend a hotel in this (Marina) area. It is very pedestrian friendly.

There are better areas - like around Burj - if you want a really active bar scene.

Anything near subway station is good. Most tourist destination area close to subway track. We stayed in some holiday Inn. it was few blocks away from subway. Every morning we walked to subway and figured out our destination
