they should (except that the Chinese are now the squatters in SCS) but why they don't do it really?

My understanding is, SCS really is about US and China -- China depends heavily on SCS for trade, oil supply ... US has an interest to choke off such supply/trade line with naval blockade in time of conflict. There are other sideline shows such as fishing right disputes, arbitration rulings ... but those merely serve the main struggle. Is this right?

China the squatter? Well, maybe, according to a no-name low levels arbitration panel that's disavowed by the UN. But they're also the ones with the big ships and the big guns, so.....

They'll raise a bunch of banners, get a bunch of brainwashed young university students who don't have any actual ability to think critically to shout a lot of slogans about destroying America, maybe throw a brick through the window of my shop or something because I'm American, boycott KFC, smash iPhones, maybe tip over a Chevy and beat up the Chinese guy driving it. But you know what they won't do? Use their military to enforce anything. The powers that be know what would actually happen if they did.
What if China starts drilling for oil in those waters? What will happen then? The existence of those artificial islands and China's refusal to withdraw already hurt America's credibility. The US can continue to not recognize China's claims but this doesn't change the fact that none of America's allies have access to those waters anymore.

The PCA might not be the UN ICJ, but no-name or low-level, they are not! Of course, that is different from what Chinese news are saying. Here's a more balanced viewpoint of who they are: South China Sea dispute: 8 things to know about the PCA, the world's oldest tribunal, Europe News & Top Stories - The Straits Times It's not like it's the first time they ever ruled border and maritime disputes anyway.

OK, squatter is not the correct term for those with big ships or big guns. However, rightful owners, they are not! What's the correct term for anyone who ignores rules, laws and court rulings, and occupies property by force with guns?

Hate to break up your dillusions about what's right and what belongs to who, but go check out what the US did with Nicaraguan ports in the 1980s and what the British did with ICJ ruling about the Falklands island and then come back and complain about what China should and shouldn't do.

If the Chinese actually choose to abide by this joke of an decision, it would be the laughing stock of great powers behind gclose doors. Strong countries have national interests that they pursue. Weak countries, like Vietnam and the filipines, or Argentina and Nicaragua for that matter, have rules and arbitrations that they try to hide under.

This is why it was so stupid for the US to think it could just intervene and sail a few ships or fly a few planes to scare China right in China's own backyard. The US still think the Chinese are weak, but despite some wishy washy policy habits, China is no longer the weak country that the US can push around. The Chinese will continue to do what they want in the SCS, and the US can choose to keep sailing around wasting it's money and continue to embarrass itself.

Of course anyone who is a China supporter is call that. Can't you be a bit more original? You should go back and check my various past posts and see how critical I am of China sometimes. If I were paid by Beijing, I would be long fired by now. But thanks for playing😀😂!
