Island Lifestyle
Penang is a tropical paradise island located in the northwest of Malaysia. With a population of just less than a million living on the island, Penang has stretches of beautiful sandy coasts along Batu Ferringhi and Teluk Bahang. With an average temperature of range 24°C- 31°C all year round and Malaysia has two distinct seasons which is -dry season (from May till September) and rainy season (from Oct till March). Penang embodies the typical laid-back and relaxing lifestyle. Geographically, Penang is also close to other famous islands - it is a about 40-minute flight to Langkawi and an hour flight to Phuket, Thailand.
Good Housing The property landscape in Penang is fast growing thanks to its robust economy in tourism and electronics manufacturing. With everything from sea view condominiums to brand new bungalows or heritage shophouses, there's a good choice of housing options to rent or buy. In 2008, the UNESCO World Heritage status was bestowed upon Penang's historic capital, Georgetown, and this has helped to uplift the property market. To further strengthen the property sector our government has a programme called Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H), which aims to help expatriates move to Malaysia. Currently, the long-term social visit pass lasts for 10 years and can be renewed. (please take note: Penang is also a good choice for property investment )
Health Medical
Penang's island is home to world-class private healthcare - most notably in Adventist Hospital, Loh Guan Lye Medical Centre, Island Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital and Pantai Medical Centre. With most doctors and consultants trained in Europe and Australia, the quality is high and cost relatively lower than what you would pay in the West. English is also the language used in private healthcare, so there is no fear of miscommunication.
Multicultural Society
Penang is an inherently multicultural society thanks to its history as a booming international port town dating as far back as the 18th century. With Malay, Indian, Chinese and English as a second language, it comes as no surprise that Penang is home to Malaysia's second largest expatriate community all over the world such as from singapore, china, korea, japan, uk, usa, uae, saudi arab and many more.Besides that, huge variety of cuisine is available here from western to eastern and local cuisine.

How's the internet service there? How about the postal/package delivery service? Are the people physically attractive?
i would be lying if i say the people there is physically attractive in general, but there are few catchy ones hehe
as for internet in Malaysia? its not that fast but sufficient enough (i would recomend unify which is price-friendlier, however there's a faster one that are called 4g which is quiet expensive)... in term of internet speed i would say that it is better than Indonesia (which sucks alot)
But, if you imply that all retired people MUST live right next to the hottest clubs and 24-hour nightlife, (and I know very few retirees who seek that out), than yes, it would be boring.

The nightlife in Penang sux badly its even worse than Koala Lumpur, actually all the clubs in the country are totally lame.....

I guess what I was insinuating was that not all retired people are looking for clubs to meet young chicks.
Most retired people are just hoping to find a quite place with a ton of cultural offerings and such....at affordable prices and good food. All of which Penang has in abundance.
