Interesting. Actually western breakfast is what I miss most when I am in Asia. I have no problem with eating all-Asian food for lunch and dinner for weeks or months, but still I prefer my western breakfast.

Western breakfast can be easily found in Asia.

Sure, it can be found. But it is not often served at people's homes. And quality is often not really overwhelming, while expensive, especially for bread and cold cuts or cheese. Maybe I should rather say "German breakfast" instead of "Western breakfast" though.

Regarding height and milk, the French consume as much milk as the dutch, but are not known to be tall. :P

Last time I brought some cheese from France to China for my family to enjoy, everyone of them took a small bite, made a weird a face and never wanted to touch it again.

Very few East Asians like, or even can tolerate cheese, this is why it is rare in the stores and expensive whenever available (due to lack of economies of scale).

Same here. I like some Chinese breakfast items, but it's my least favorite meal in China. I always have to take a big thing of maple syrup and peanut butter with me as well.

Haha, same here. I miss cheese a lot, but my family hates it. My brother-in-law likes Cheese, but I think that is why they immigrated to Montreal.

Probably shouldn't throw around Asia, because that's not true at all. Maybe in a few countries and major cities. Even in the major Chinese cities, western breakfast is hard to find. Most western food is lunch or dinner. Crepes are probably the easiest to find and are somewhat common, I can't think of anything else.

Last time in China, while hotel breakfast was too expensive, we ended up with McDonalds breakfast, lol.

It is true that there is low demand and therefore high prices for cheese. Last time in a Korean supermarket, Old Amsterdam Cheese from the Netherlands was like $10 for a small 125g pack.

The statistics above is quite interesting by the way. Didn't expect Italy to be that low compared to Spain, France or Germany. Does that include processed milk (yoghurt, cheese, etc.)?
