I'm a mixed Asian/White guy from the US, and would really like to visit the country. Are people there mostly friendly? What is the food and bar scene like? Are gay people accepted?

I alaways think Kazakhstan should be a perfect airline bub between East Asia and Europe. It will be 6 hours from east coast China/Japan and 6 hours from West Europe. Many senior passengers can't handle a 12 hour flight (or even 10 to Dubai for example).

There are still some descendants of Balts there, who never repatriated to the Baltics. They have Turkic first names now, so clearly they've assimilated.

Some are to die for, like some Uyghur men, and some Tibetan nomad men, who have Indo-Euro ancestry from Inner Asia.
