Same with Jakarta lol. I even think the severity of poverty there is worse. I'm not sure though as I am only looking at Google Earth at the moment. Haha

Good move with your Meikarta. We are also developing a city north of Manila that would be the future capital and to be the greenest and most modern city in the Phils. in Clark.

Fact speaking, Manila has way bigger slum than Jakarta, and more people live below poverty line. Simply search on Google won't hurt.

From where did you get that baseless statement?
Jakarta by far has more skyscraper than Metro Manila. Jakarta has 30 completed towers above 200 meter vs Metro Manila's 18 towers. And is currently building at least 3 Supertalls (300+m tower) and dozens of new skyscrapers.

Metro Manila has more centralized type of skyline, like in Makati, BGC, etc. While Jakarta is more sprawling all over the city area.

Oh really lets see. Poverty line? Just compare both cities GDP and PPP and you'll arrive at the right answer.

And by the way you are talking about 200+ meters. How about the highrises below 200+? And remember Manila has already one supertall while you are still building them. Again I stand witth the statement that Manila has more highrises and has more defined skyline than Jakarta. And that Jakarta is indeed last among the top tier cities in SEA when it comes to highrise and skyline. I bet you know the difference between/among skyscrapers, highrises, supertalls and megatalls, right? After all I am familiar with your username. But who knows you might overtake us in the very near future.

The right attitude should be to admit that you are still not there and still getting there. I admire Michikos posts where she admits Jakarta weakness and then states things being done to improve it, than yours. You insist on something that is not true yet.

Their MRTs are indeed more modern but c'mon it is just as decent as it can be and better than Jakarta which doesn't have yet.

Let see in 2019, Jakarta already has a more modern MRT & clean even the longest MRT subway + LRT Se- Jabotabek
I will to visit Manila, and maybe travel very far from Jakarta to Manila than to Bangkok , I not bring much money to visit Manila ,because i know everything will be cheap this maybe same case with Thailand & Vietnam or maybe the same as Cambodia / Laos . I have not been able to go to rich countries because I have not enough money to visit there .I can only go to countries near our country

You could tell me a good place in Manila to be visited ?

Good luck and advance congratulations to Jakarta and wishing all the best for both cities.

If you are into modern city life with ample shopping options & vibrant nightlife, I suggest BGC, Eastwood, Makati, Ortigas or Alabang but they tend to be more expensive than the rest of the metro. If you want the cheaper ones, you can go to Greenhills in San Juan, Divisoria or Quiapo if you are into shopping; Ermita, Cubao or QC as a whole when it comes to party and nighlife; Intramuros and the rest of Manila City for culture and history. If you prefer casinos, you have Paranaque City(but very expensive). If you would like leisure and eco-tourism and parks, you can always go to nearby suburbs/provinces such as Tagaytay, Subic, Clark , Laguna, etc. They are still considered part of Mega Manila albeit a bit farther the metro core.

But if you would like me to recommend only one, I would advise BGC for sure.
