50+% of the population not having running water is a small detail? It's water.
You're the one focused on the small detail of pagpag. Probably 1-2% of people in Manila eat that. But 50% of people in Jakarta dont have running water, and most of the other 50% dont even have clean water.
big detail if water quality to drink are still worse
losing situation, make pipe but get worse quality
so the solution is keep drilling for water, and make the city sink even lower. Dont worry about piped water, because piped water in Jakarta is not safe to drink. OK cool
Manila tap water is safe to drink; Jakarta tap water is not.
Sorry to burst your bubble. But actually real quality of both cities tap water is not that different. Both are "safe" to drink if you have strong stomach. But Philippines media tend to sugarcoat everything.
Safer way to drink the water is to boil it first. Or simply buy bottled water lah, it's cheap as hell in both cities.
So you really think they're measuring the water quality of the water that Jakartans get illegally from drilling? You have no idea what the quality of that water is. The aquifers are being depleted, so you cant rely on that as your source of water. And it's making the city sink.
Its okay, she/he clearly doesn't know what she/he is talking about that's why we don't really bother to comment anymore on anything what the guy says.
Anyway in addition, clear as the sun that the Philippines had 1,607,821 Korean visitors compared to 378,769 in Indonesia in 2017. That's only way less a quarter what the Philippines gets. How is that even a match? The guy is just proll trolling.
Add to that, most of the tourist visiting Indonesia are actually countries with land borders or way too near to them. 1,512,813 Singaporeans; 1,238,276 Malaysians; 1,188,449 coming from Australia. See, except for China, most of their tourists are people taking advantage of how easy it is for them to step in their country. The top bulk of the tourists visiting the Philippines on the other hand are farther away, Korea, China, US and Japan which indicates that they truly visit the Philippines for the sake of substantial visiting as tourist not just merely visiting because they happened to stepped in from a neighboring country.
If Philippines can attract 2 million tourist each from Korea, China and US then that would almost double what we are getting right now.
who wants to go there ??? isolation. That is because the Philippines is far from its neighbors and its own island surrounded by the sea compared to Indonesia in the north Indo we near with Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore then in southern Indo we near with Australia then in the east Indo we near is Papua New Guinea , Timor Leste, Palau and even Philipines ... East Asian tourists who come in philipines just like their visit to Hawaii, Guam, Palau,Mariana and countries in the Pacific Island by the way what about foreign tourists visit philippines still lower far from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia
Btw I compared the best videos from Borachay and Canggu Bali this look still far .. Borachay has a clean and beautiful beach but sorry *don't have good facilities in beach compared with some beach in Bali this have good facility causes foreign tourists to overflow on several beaches in Bali. most tourists in Bali are mostly from western countries like UK, USA, France, Russia, German etc. and most too of them are from East Asian and of course Australia tourist

Drilling water is cheaper and more convenient. It's illegal though, but Jakarta provincial Govt seems not paying attention that much on this. It's ugly reality.

yeah I know. Filipinos would probably do the same thing.
