For all the blame Germans get from WW2, the Ottomans killed almost as many people in the Balkans and elswhere. Yet Turkey government even denies those massacres.

^So stop pointing fingers only at Germans. It is not fair some nations get a free pass. Same as many Asian states that get a free pass for their past.

I think the 'What's wrong with Germany/Sweden'- threads are extremely stupid.

Life is not fair, don't expect it to be.

Anyway, I have the gut feeling that if the Japanese did not have US nuclear protection, the Chinese would clobber them the first chance they get.

And they may do it soon wearing masks made in North Korea.

I don't think anyone is giving Turkey a free pass. Everyone knows what they did in Armenia but Turkey itself refuses to deal with it. You should call out Turkey for its crimes.

As terrible as it was I don't see the comparison with Germany. Germany caused WWII which brought the deaths and injuries of TENS of millions of people including the Holocaust and vast vast destruction.

Turks today are so different from the Ottomans, it's hard imagining they're the same country. I've thought the Ottomans must've been Kurds, gipsies or something non turkish or non-arab.

About your Germanophilia: Germany had caused more trouble to the whole world, Turkey was an issue only in Bulgaria, Greece and Serbia, that's the difference.

I've met far more evil, nasty, cold and rude French, Slavic and Italian people than Germans. Same for some Dutch

Well it very normal that Germany was blamed much more than Turkey or any other country. I mean, Germany lost a war and history books are always written by the winners.

Does it really matter anymore. People get so hung up on what country x did so many years. If we started posting all of the crap every country has ever done we would be at it all life. Let's focus on the future, you know the stuff we can actually have an impact upon.
