What kind of pride are you talking about? I've met all kinds of them, some very nationalistic to the point that they believe that there culture was above others (rigid education, cast system, arranged marriage...), others were more open and accepting of flaws.

Just like with any group of people, they are all over the place.

Yes, too much so some times almost to the point of being propagandistic. The culture has huge chips on its shoulder with the UK (the colonial master), Pakistan (the divorced cousin), China (its perceived competition), and the US (first for its capitalism and now for reasons having to do with the tech boom and the role of Indian Americans and outsourcing). It is a culture of maddening comparisons, an economic machismo. That said, they are the most engaged people on earth.

The culture of India dates back many thousands of years. There is evidence of human habitation in India going back hundreds of thousands of years.

You don't think a people with a history like that would have pride?

It's the biggest cess pool in the world. More than 600 million Indians don't even have access to an outhouse, according to the UN. LOL

No.

Most Indians I know are so desperate that they are willing to do anything and everything to leave India.

History isn't important, future is.
