That is a myth. Singapore and HK have normal life expectancies for a city. If you compare their life expectancies with other cities in the world, they would hardly stand out. In most developed countries the life expectancy in big cities would be around 83 to 84 years. It's same for London and Paris. Taipei for example had a life expectancy of 83.43 according to 2016 census. Tokyo is even higher.

Life expectancy of Taiwan is higher than Mainland China mostly due to universal health care. The diets are similar.

Diet highly relates with obesity, high fat diets is the mainly reason for the higher rates of obesity in the west.

Longer life expectancy leads to aging society, not cool.

Japan would be much more vibrant if the life expectancy was 60.

Work/life balance is awful in Asian countries.

In fact, people don't really hate each other in East Asia on an individual level. Politics and personal relationships are not tightly coupled. Your Japanese last name doesn't hurt you.
In Singapore there is something called the 5 C's:

Credit Card
Career
Car
Condo
Club (private club membership)

which are aspirations for locals - notice they're all materially oriented. I suspect this is all tongue in cheek but the fact that it is a local saying tells you quite a bit.

Uh, no. Lower life expectancy usually means poor living conditions and poverty.

Moving to Honolulu is your best choice.

There is a "Little Korea" in Honolulu. Its Korean food is way better than those in Koreatown in NYC or Hong Kong or Singapore.

And the island girls are much less materialistic than those in Mainland or Singapore or Hong Kong. I have heard couple stories that girls work as nurse to put their husbands through medical or law schools. In Hawaii, most Asian girls marry Asian guys since there are relatively less quality White guys on the island.

P.S. Unless you live in Houston, otherwise you can't stand the year round heat and humidity in Singapore.

is that not true everywhere? I remember there is only one country whose citizens seeks more spirituality that material wealth, I think that's Bhutan or Tibet due to their religion

Why is credit card an aspiration? Today even Janitor has more than one credit card in the wallet.

Though Singaporean girls may be materialistic, they possess certain traits that girls in other places don't have. Their tolerance for heat.

In those non-air conditioned hawker centers around Singapore, during lunch hour you can see a lot of nicely dressed office girls with make-up devouring spicy food like Laksa or Chili Crab. The temperature may have approached 100 degrees Fahrenheit (34 degrees Celsius), but these girls don't sweat and their make up do not fade away.

How can they manage it? I guess their DNA are different.

Well, this was a saying long time ago. You start with credit cards...

Cars are extremely expensive in Singapore (probably 3x the price for an equivalent car in the USA) with taxes, duties and something called the COE (certificate of entitlement) which you need in the first place to even license a car - that is auctioned off monthly.
