Without a Israel/Arab solution and the massive failure of Gaza in relation to Jews, Israel is not going to allow another Gaza to be created on it's eastern border.
I also seen interviews of people living in the West Bank and not all of them are religious or appear to be religious.

Are you suggesting that Israel is more secure as a result of its occupation of the West Bank? Indeed, would giving a bit more contiguity to the Palestinian-ruled areas of the West Bank be too much to ask for?

Here is the 2009 Mofaz Plan for a Palestinian state with provisional borders:

Would you be in favor of such a plan?

You are off your own topic. That open area to the East of the WB is not there per the Israeli plan, it is there due to Jordan demanding a 9 km buffer zone. Other than that, sure let it become a island that has no border with another country.

Why exactly is Jordan demanding a 9 km buffer zone? Indeed, I have never heard of this before.

For the same reason Egypt built a wall taller and deeper than any wall in Israel with Gaza. Egypt also put in a moat and bulldozed a 2 km buffer zone. Jordan does not want the same problems as Egypt has to deal with. FWIW the buffer zone with Jordan would've gone to the Bedouins.

Couldn't find the link on the buffer zone, but if you read the Israel-Jordan Treaty, read about Black September and the following link you'll understand why.

Also if you look at previous maps all the way back to the 1970's, they also have this wide buffer zone with Jordan as yours does.

The Allon Plan appears to have envisioned an Israeli annexation of the Jordan Valley rather than merely turning it into a buffer zone, though:

1967?? Really?

Here's a little homework: How many Jews live in the interior of the WB versus the perimeter of the WB?
