Hi! I am travelling to Thailand in July and I wonder what vaccines should I do. To what should I pay attention? I am from Poland and I am not sure if the local environment will be fine for me? Should I be careful about food? Thank you!

What part of Thailand? You don't need any vaccine but never drink tap water. Always makes sure your water is on a closed bottle.

Prepare to be living in a real life sauna because it will be hot.

You'll probably need mosquito repellent lotion at night. You can either bring some with you, or you can buy it in Thailand at pharmacies or 7-11 stores. You might also want to bring along an umbrella (just in case). The Rainy Season is generally from July to October.

You can get everything in Thailand. No worries.

vaccines...no worries about that either. Unless you are really going to get off the beaten path...

If you go to the Beaches be weary of drinks with ice cubes. (water is not from bottles) I was there and caught a nasty gastro intestinal virus. I wound up sick for 4-5 days with liquids coming out both intake and exhaust. I had a fissure in my rectum which did not heal for almost 8 months of meds. Painful is an understatement..

No vaccines needed. The hospitals in Thailand are great should you ever have problems. Be sure to have travel health insurance. Enjoy your travels and watch your hygiene.

Getting vaccines is probably not necessary but doesn't hurt to get them, and it could help. Even if medical care is great where you are going, it's better to not need to use it. Some agency, the CDC or something, compiles a list of recommended vaccinations for travel to different parts of the world and circulates it to doctors. So just tell your doctor that you want to get travel vaccines and what country you are visiting and he\she will have the list of recommended vaccines.

I just noticed that the op is from Poland. Maybe there is something similar to the CDC there? Anyway, vaccines are a "just in case" precaution. Don't want to have to spend part of vacation sick or visiting the doctor.

IDK anything about Thailand, but here's some general advice to pass along.

If you're concerned about the water, start taking Pepto Bismol (the liquid kind), about a week prior to the trip. Take the maximum dose on the bottle per day. This will coat your GI tract, so hopefully, nothing of a pathogenic nature can "slip through". BTW, this advice was given to me by my doctor, so take it for what its worth. Also, take the Pepto Bismol along with you on the trip. You can get chewable tablets for convenience. Have a great trip!

If you happen to be going to pick up a lady, maybe for some fun, be sure it is really a lady, well if that is what you seek.

Enjoy your vacation. Don't drink anything but bottled drinks, make sure to open them yourself so you know they were sealed, and to play it safe, eat only restaurant or hotel food, street food in any of these types of countries can be a little more likely to give a person stomach problems. Bring Imodium or something like it but hopefully you will not need it.
