There use to be an adult cartoon in USA which had animated characters of different genres living together. One character was suppose to be a Pikachu imitation. The voice actress did what she called Asian jibberish. For those who speak Far East Asian languages, can you tell if any of the things she’s saying is actually words in your language?
Ling Ling could certainly be a name in Chinese, but the gibberish she is speaking sounds nothing like Chinese. It sounds a little bit like she is trying to mimic Japanese (her speech cadence, the phonemes she uses, confusing r and l sounds, etc.), but like she said in the video it is just gibberish. And of course the pikachu-ish looking character is obviously influenced by Japanese anime.
