Hi!

Usually, it is good to have a stopover for flights that are really long. A great stop for you would be Tokyo, have a stay that would give you enough time to relax and get ready for the next flight (flight from Tokyo to Singapore is around 8 hours and flight from New-York to Japan is around 15 hours)

But, I suggest you take a direct flight, it would save you more time and give you enough time to rest in the place you will be staying over.

The decision is yours, and what most matters is that you must have fun during your trip!

While one of the SEA regional carriers did put a 737 in the Java Sea yesterday...they are cheap and abundant...so you could nonstop to Sing and do a side trip by air...Vietjet is great and a trip to Saigon would be pretty cool. Air Asia goes absolutely everywhere from KL, and a lot of places from Sing.

20 s$ for a Tiger? Holy Shiite...I pay 1.50 USD for a 620 ml at my local Tesco in BKK. Heard the sin tax is bad in KL, too.

What is Touristanbul? If you have a connecting international flight in Istanbul with a layover between 6-24 hours, you can make use of our free Touristanbul service to discover Istanbul.
How to apply? After your Turkish Airlines connecting international flight, you can sign up for Touristanbul at the Hotel Desk in the International Arrivals Terminal of Istanbul Ataturk Airport.
