Just curios, but it seems not many people here who share their thoughts, experiences ans and the like on countries in the middle east. Bit of a pity. I have soft sport and bit of an interest in the area.

Especially countries like Jordan, Lebanon and Oman (perhaps that one is in the Africa section) UAE and Israel. Or to break it down to cities; Beirut, Amman, Jerusalem, Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Muscat.
Damascus and Tripoli in Syria and Lybia are quite interesting, especially historically, but again perhaps better suited for the Africa Forum.....

Yeah... not sure what I'm asking for to be honest mainly just thinking out "loudly"......

Shiraz, Tabriz, Esfahan, and Tehran are the most beautiful cities in the Middle East, period.

Use the search engine. There are people that live in those countries, expats, particularly in the Gulf States - UAE, etc. I post on pretty much all of the World Forums on City-Data, and there are tons of countries with little coverage. The main reason being that this website/forum has an extremely large expansive width of different topics. People tend to view the country forums as either sounding points for politics (hopefully moved to the Political Forums), or travel.

More in-depth information is better found elsewhere, depending on what you looking for...(i.e. jobs, travel, work, relocating, etc.)

As an aside, I get interested in countries, and try to post something about them, once in awhile. Sometimes just the way something is framed will generate a good discussion.

I hear you.

Perhaps I also should have been more concise about what I want. It is not so much any particular information, just a general thing more.
I love browsing through the different Forums here, for example Asia or the Americas and so on.... and just start reading about what people have to say. Many of your post actually are a good example I enjoy reading about your experiences across Asia and your POV on many of the countries.

I just thought that as a whole, it is a bit light on places in the middle east.

I hope that is not a gotcha question..... ;-)

Parts of North Africa, the levant and south of it and going eastwards until Afghanistan. But so to not step on anyone's toes I'll just consider it the Middle East as I define it. I do not wish to start any arguments as to the validity of the term 'middle east' or whether it being more political description, not geographically accurate and so on.

MSM wise? Starts at Egypt, runs down to Yemen, runs up to Afghanistan, and runs back to Turkey (3% of it sits in Europe).
