No Theocracy can be trusted to live by the rules of the real world..... Are we to assume that their chants of "Death to America" and "Israel has no right to exist" are just good natured tugs on our leg? It would seem they are telling us they're gunna use 'em if they had 'em.

Your very question implies you believe the thought processes of MiddleEasterners are the same as ours in the West. It seems your political ancestors in Washington had the same misconception when dealing with Native Americans a century & a half ago.

That's just the trivial, logical explanation. Beyond that, we get into the concept of "non-proliferation" in general. The more parties with nuclear capabilities, the bigger the chance for a mistake. Murphy's Law is not just a joke: the more elements in a process, the more chances for error....and with more nuclear countries, once a mistake is made, the damage will be even greater. Cf- history of the network of complex treaties that triggered WWI after a relatively mild initiating action.

Lies lies lies and more lies.

When Iran was a US ally you'd never hear any of this propaganda. They could be trusted.

Now that the KSA and Al Qaeda are our allies the government tells people like you that Iran is the threat, even though Iran hasn't invaded another country in more than a 100 years.

Israel and the US are more of a threat with nukes, they both must give them up or have the international community isolate them.
