Still around and looking for an answer? I read somewhere recently that when you sponsor ANYONE to come into the USA, you can be financially responsible for them for LIFE. That means that even if you divorce them, and even if they marry someone else, if they decide after the divorce to sit around the house and do NOTHING, you can still be responsible for their upkeep forever. Many men resort to trying to have their ex-es deported for this reason. I would think this rule applies to not only the woman, but also all her children.
As I said, this is not something I know, but that I read... you should be very careful about who you chose to sponsor.
