Some Tibetans absolutely do have "Aryan" DNA. There hasn't been enough study done on this, regarding DNA analysis, but there's no question that historically there was admixture.

What do you mean by "YD DNA"? Do you mean Y-DNA D Hg? Sure, Tibetans have D, but China makes too much of this. IMO, with regard to Tibetans, China's DNA analysis is highly politicized, to make the Tibetans look more "primitive" than Han Chinese. There was a more recent study done, in which a percentage of "Aryan" DNA turned up, but this has not been included in the materials available for you to study in your country. If I can find the article, I'll post a link here.

Here's an article that mentions "significant evidence of low-level West Eurasian admixture" in the Tibetan genome, which, the authors conclude, dates back to between 500-800 years ago. If I find anything more, I'll post it.

What's "Brown C"?

OK, thanks for the DNA breakdown. Now, how about somebody organizes DNA testing specifically of various Tibetan nomad populations? I'm sure you'd find Iranian DNA in the west/northwest, Aryan in the east or northeast, and north. A targeted study like that really needs to be done. Also, with the Qiang.

BTW, why is Iranian classified differently from "Aryan"? What exactly are those labels discussing--R1a, R1b? Could you clarify that?

I'm more curious as to why it is that the OP is so obsessed with the height of Chinese dudes...

I'm 187 cm, and on an average day in China, I would say that 80-90% of the guys I see are considerably shorter than me. 6 or 7% are roughly the same give or two a couple CM in either direction. 3-4% are considerably, noticeably higher. When I'm on the Metro on a crowded day, if I look down the car, it's basically a sea of black haired heads, with maybe a few faces standing above at my height or higher.

When you consider that China has a population of 1.4 billion and these cities have 15 million people in them, there's bound to be tall people around. Two friends of mine who are brothers, Cantonese family, are 6'5 and 6'6, and a sister who is 5'11.
