It's not a case of me shifting anywhere but the sheer ignorance of lack of facts and figures. Less than 300 people were killed in 2018 in a country of 220 Million in terrorist related Incidents . That's less than the number of Homicides Baltimore had alone.

I've met at least two travelers who told me Pakistan is among their favorite countries in the world. But getting a visa is a nightmare. Apparently, you have to have your plane ticket first, and the visa takes months to get, has to obtained in your home country, and can be (and often is) denied for no apparent reason.

Baltimore has crab pizza, crab cakes, and old bay. Pakistan has the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan and a bunch of other jihadi groups supported crazy ISI jihadists. It slowly becoming a vassal state of godless communist china.

Been going downhill since the Muḥammad ibn Qāsim invaded.

There's a lot of stuff to see. I just have no interest in going to an islamic country. I think the subcontinent would be better off united under a secular democratic government with a uniform civil code. A key barrier would be converting those following the foreign bedoiun ideology to that of the enlightenment or maybe to buddhism to pacify them or a liberal version of xtianity. I don't think they ever go back to paganism or godlessness.

imagine a subcontinent without jihad

By George, I think you've found the secret to global peace and harmony. Just force everyone to convert to a new religion. How come nobody's ever tried that before??

Buddhism isn't exactly that peaceful either, if you go by some of the recent developments in Myanmar. The same can be said of Hinduism and its militant caste system that still plays a big role in India. The truth of the matter is that all religions have their fair share of fundamentalists. Christianity and Islam are both very imperialistic religions whose goal was to expand and subjugate as many people as possible throughout history.

I would argue that Judaism is one of the few that doesn't seem to operate under that principle.
