Could someone help me out for choosing best vpn while being in China? I'm going for a month to China and I want to use all the social media and streaming sites just as usual. I've heard some good stuff about nordvpn and express vpn, but not sure which one would be the best option? Or maybe someone could suggest me other ways how I could normally use the websites that are banned in China?
If you use AT&T, I suggest you purchase their package for international travel. It is $40 something (plus your regular bill) for a month.
AT&T collaborates with China Mobile for data roaming, and surprisingly the websites are not blocked. You can log on Google, Facebook, Youtube etc. Of course you cannot use WiFi to do that, but use your data plan.
I use T-Mobile. It is workable all over the world even when I was technically in North Korea. You don't need to pay extra but it is only limited to 2G which is slower.
Most "reactionary" foreign websites are not blocked, i.e. NYT and Apple Daily.
Communication software is not blocked either, i.e. WhatsApp.
Don't buy those Sim Cards from Hong Kong. They are mostly blocked.
Thanks guys! After all I bought nordvpn.. I used their trial for a few days and it looked good to me. But thanks for your help!
