How is Dubai more powerful do you mean economy New York and Tokyo are far ahead, Dubai may have a faster economy at the moment but this doesn't mean anything long way to go.

I wouldn't go as far as to say Dubai is more attractive not just yet as much of the city is still a big construction site.

New York is the second most wealthy city in the world close behind Tokyo.

so cool. its over in the middle east. lies on the persian gulf and has 2 very large palm tree islands, along with the 'world' islands. very cool place to check into

now as far as wealthier and more powerful than NYC...thats a very very very long shot.

that i will give you. but most will argue. dubai's skyline is majestic and very creative, but it is not larger than NYC. its kind of situated along one main highway. But i do think they are amazing and far better architecturally than NYC. specially the Burj Al Arab (sp?)

This is because we have laws prohibiting tall monstrosities in the city. We cant building edgy buildings in this city. Picture the ny skyline with the burj in it. It would look weird but on the other hand ny skyline has more of a character than dubai. it just looks like all the other cities on the other side of the lake

agreed.

dubai skyline is jagged and has many eye catchers. NY kinda blends as a massive city. I am fascinated with Dubai only because its so new and the technology they are using and the things they are doing just amaze me. NY is wonderful as well, just not my cup of tea entirely.
