Hello to all,

I am considering moving to Bangkok for six-months to undergo extensive medical tests and possible surgery at Bumrungrad Hospital. I would greatly appreciate any advice concerning what to expect as an american living in Bangkok.

I am not interested in brothels, underage sex, etc.

1 - Apartment expense for basic furnished apartment, ie., Refrigerator, Stove, Laundry, and Utilities. No desire for maid service, etc.
2 - How hot & humid does it get? Do reasonably priced apartments have air conditioning?
3 - Any comments on the approximate cost of eating out?
4 - Is there a nightlife scene for a forty-year old straight male?

Much thanks to anyone willing to offer advice concerning living in Bangkok.
