Here is the link to the list of the 25 most influential Atheists living today. They are all published and give volumes of good reading material for the “New Atheist” as they like to be called.

Here is a link to more prominent Atheist.

“In the new millennium, prominent atheists abound. One website, www.celebatheists.com, is even dedicated to listing celebrity atheists. Celebrity atheists are wide-ranging and include people like Mark Zuckerberg, Lance Armstrong, and Jodie Foster. Even so, they don’t make it on to our list of influential living atheists. Why? Because they, like so many other atheists, don’t make a big deal out of their atheism. They live their lives without God, but are happy to let other people live their lives with God.”

Love this! Thanks for sharing. The top 7 are all authors I have read or plan to read within the month (was going to the library today to pick up some Harris & Dennett). Great article!

Thank you for posting the list. Only 3 women out of 25???? Intriguing.

My reading list just expanded. I've already read the work of Phillip Pullman, C. Harris, R. Dawkins, S. Hawkings - but the others I don't know.

What a spectacular line up of articulate and brilliant minds. The scholarly aspect is the most important. The reasoned, logical, scientific approach that supports their atheist argument makes them so important in refuting religions claims.

He is awesome. He's one of my favorite scientist. However, I don't think he focuses on his atheist views for public consumption as much as he could. The top 25 focuses on people who are clearly active atheist. I'd like it if Neil would be more expressive than he is currently..
