SIR, helium is still matter. The first law of physics= matter cannot be created or destroyed.
Google it.
Sorry, I don't like myself when I act like a know-it-all.
In the sun, two protons are merged together. When that happens, the combined mass of the merged protons is less than the masses of the individual protons added together.
That is where E=M*C**2, or
Energy = Mass times the speed of light squared.
The amount of mass lost when the protons merge multiplied by the speed of light (a HUGE number) squared means that a small loss of mass can release a huge amount of energy.
The rule that "matter can neither be created or destroyed" was formed long before Einstein came along.
Of course it should not be taught in education any more that UFO's or Gods from outer space. At least it may come under scrutiny and the case explained why evolution passes the evidence test and creationism doesn't.

Yes I know, Newton refered to it. Einstein and Hawkins HAVE confirmed.
CERN has had particles moving at near the speed of light[C] but did not destroy. Nor did they reveal the theoretical higgs bosun particle.
Sure there is plenty of evidence used to support 'creation acience". It is the same evidence used to support evolution.
However, the creationists just interpret the evidence differently.
One would wonder how they do so, considering evolution has nothing to do with the origins of ANYTHING - whether life or the universe, and is still a fact even if there is a creator.
And of course, the evidence really isn't up to interpretation in any case. It's pretty cut and dry in favor of evolution.

One of my Evangelical friends gave me video of some guy who acted like a scientist and tried to explain how the earth is not that old and how evolution is a myth. He sounded somewhat intelligent. He was even doing experiments to show how geologists have been wrong in analyzing the fossil record. I was amazed how ridiculous it all was.
It is amazing how different people can interpret evidence. I guess that is why they found O.J. not guilty.
I think when the sun's core runs out of hydrogen the Red Giant phase begins, right?
That's what I understand the theorists say.
They think the helium will be combined to form carbon. The heat from that reaction will cause the outer layers of the sun to expand, and the sun will get so large it will engulf the earth, burning our poor planet to a crisp.
Then the sun will cool and contract, and the earth will just be a dead rock floating in space.
As our solar system continues to rotate inside our galaxy, it bet gravitation will eventually lead it to combine with other matter floating in the galaxy. Who knows what will happen then? I bet the atoms that make up our bodies will be put to good use somewhere.

You know, it is possible for you to do some research from credible sources so you can learn something for yourself.
Then you won't have to rely on other people's opinions, and you could have an intelligent conversation about the subject.
I'll get back to you after my visit to the Creation Museum in Kentucky.
I especially want to see the diorama of the guy using a triceratops to pull a plow.
I like your sense of humor!
