I can't stand religious zealots and their insistence of a God and Noah's ark and all that nonsense. I don't know what happens after death ( I strongly assume "nothing,"), but I don't know for sure. So instead of calling myself an atheist, I prefer to say agnostic.
The afterlife and religion are not determinative of the labels theist/atheist(belief or lack of) and gnostic/agnostic(knowledge or lack of, however one defines knowledge).
TKramer: Do you currently have a belief in any particular god? Yes or No?
I'm completely neutral on that subject. I can't answer either yes or no to that, or a number of other questions. I admit to the possibility, but I cannot confirm or deny the existence of a god to believe in.
Actually, I am taking a vacation from theism. I find this vacation to be quite relaxing. Since I do not believe in any theist organisms I also suppose this makes me atheistic. This is OK also, it will automatically save me 10% of my money and allow me to sleep in and not worship anything on sunday other than NFL football for a portion of the year, or, since I do live in N.C. I also have an obligation to worship the round ball that is shot into the hoop and bounced all around a "court" with judges too, If I may add a few particulars, wherein people stand on lines, not in lines exactly, but rather, mostly behind them. This religion also has at least one patron saint, not a god exactly, more like an oracle from the basketball god, it's name is "Smith", " The Dean of Hoops!"

I wasn't asking whether or not (you know if) god exists. I was asking if you had a belief in god (despite knowing or not knowing). As Catman said, it is a yes or no question. If you cannot answer in the affirmative, then you are without a belief by default (atheist).
