"Beliefs are powerful"....Yes placebos can be powerful if the belief is there, but that is all religion is....A placebo.

Yet, maybe you're too delusional to realize it.
You can't help but be! You don't know everything, yet pretend to.
At least some admit their lack of awareness.
And specifically what do atheists believe in without any proof to the contrary?

Atheists never claim to know it all, unlike those that hold up a book of ancient superstitions, folklore, urban legend and fairy tale then announce with a great deal of arrogance that this proves everything.

The only thing it proves is that anyone that would find it useful for anything other than pressing flowers is an idiot.

If you can't respect the delusion, respect the person.

Why, they are delusional. I can have sympathy for delusional people, but I can't even muster that up for deliberately delusional people that continue their fantasy not only without evidence, but counter to evidence.

What point is there in respecting deluded people?

We're not asked to merely respect them. We're quite clearly asked to respect their delusion. And it's the deluded doing the asking, so to hell with them. No, I don't respect them.

I find it hard to respect them because so many of them don't respect us. As if it isn't enough that they believe in a magical sky daddy, they think that anyone who doesn't is the worst kind of evil and is going straight to hell even though atheists tend to have better morals.
