Actually, you're right -- I actively disbelieve in all other gods but the Lord. That doesn't make me an atheist, because I do believe in God. As I keep saying, it takes just as much faith to disbelieve in God as it takes to believe in God. Neither stance can be definitively proved by human reason.

I beg to differ -- studies were done when samples from the moon's surface were taken and scientists determined without reserve that life could not possibly have occured on the moon, or ever will. Otherwise, we would have explored in depth how to colonize the moon to relieve our perceived population explosion problem.

If what I said in response to remarks to people's questions is considered proselytizing, there really is no purpose in going any further in this discussion for me. You guys can continue your discussion of your faith on your own. Thank you for letting me participate, and I really hope that you're worldview is correct, because if mine is correct, well.... good luck. God bless you all.

Does anyone else get frustrated by this fact?

If you don't want your ideas to be questioned and rediculed (in the case of religion and a god), then either 'smart up' and don't come up with fairytales as your truths and your reality, or keep it to yourself, and don't go around saying "the good lord this....and the good lord that..."

Ticks me off i tell ya!
We are expected to b/c it is polite to not go up to another adult and make fun of them for whatever. Whether that be their clothes, their hair, their job, or their religious belief.

Everyone gets to choose what they believe. Disrespecting or rolling your eyes at theists is no different than when someone does that to atheists. It's not of their damn buisness! So, by the same token, it's none of yours either.

Now when people try to legislate their religous beliefs, then it DOES become your buisness. But that's a different thread.

LOL, if our worldview is correct then everyone is okay and nothing bad happens.

If your worldview is correct then we burn in fiery torment forever and ever..

And you think this is a positive advertisement for your cause?

You can beg to differ all you like pal but you're still wrong. How do you know that life on the moon doesn't consist of invisible, undetectable one-legged elephants or any other life form that can't be detected by the science currently at our disposal. Now if you had said 'life as we know it' you might have a point but your claim was "we have proven there is no life on the moon empirically, actual life or animated!". In that you are wrong.

Ok, believe that Marvin the Martian is real. I won't fault you for it! I believe in the freedom of religion. Gee, how many times do I have to say it?

Do Hindus/Buddhist/Other believe in hell? I thought it was a reincarnation or karma thang. Who knew?
